First of all, the best thing you can do is to call a professional, when you are faced with bed bugs infestations. However, if you want to try home remedies for your bedbug problem, here are some things you can try.
- Put clothes in the freezer. If you think some of your clothes, perhaps from a recent trip, are the culprit, you can put them carefully in a bag, and then put the bag in the freezer for a couple of hours. Freeze those little suckers to death!
- Rubbing Alcohol – this can kill some of the bed bugs, if you manage to spray some on them directly.
- Insecticides – use the kind of products that are pet safe. These remedies can help if you repeatedly apply to the problem areas.
There’s no guarantee any of these remedies will completely solve your problem with bed bugs. These critters are very difficult to get rid of, so by all means try these methods first, but don’t be surprised if you end up having to call a professional exterminator.
