Bed Bug Products

Looking for products that can help deal with bed bug problems? Let’s look at what different kinds of bed bugs products are available, and how they work.

Mattress Covers

Mattress covers are one of the best ways to battle bedbugs from biting you at night. The mattress cover will prevent bedbugs from entering the cracks and crevices on the mattress or the box spring. This is where they usually hide and multiply. The mattress cover will also trap any bedbugs that are already on the mattress or box spring and prevent them from getting to you.

The AllerZip Waterproof Bed Bug Proof Zippered Bedding Encasement is an effective barrier to infestation. Because treatments can’t reach the core of an already infected mattress and box spring, they usually need to be disposed of – but no longer. Aller-Zip protects your mattress investment and most importantly, your health.

Bed Bug Spray

A spray against bed bugs is a very good way to kill bed bugs fast. The Bed Bug Bully 30oz is a naturally-derived formulation that eliminates dust mites, bed bugs and other allergens while cleaning fabrics and upholstered surfaces. This powerful, environmentally-safe bed bug spray banishes Bed Bugs and other insects fast and effectively. Spray directly on infested areas and the Bed Bugs are gone.

Bed Bug Traps

These traps can catch a lot of bed bugs. Climbup Insect Interceptors create an easy-to-use monitoring system to aid in the early detection of bed bug infestations. These specially designed plastic cups are pesticide-free and are coated with a thin layer of talc which makes them too slick for the bugs to crawl out. Bugs approaching the bed (or other furniture) from the floor will fall into the outer well while bed bugs leaving the bed will get stuck in the center well.

Bed Bug Heaters

Bed bug heaters are used to treat bed bug infestations with heat. The PackTite Portable Heater uses patent pending heating technology to safely eliminate all stages of bed bugs by heating contents up to over 120 degrees F for a sustained period. PackTite is a safe, non-chemical way to treat your personal items for bedbugs and features a timer to select heating times of up to six hours.

Diatomaceous earth

This is is an off white talc-like powder that is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. When sprinkled on a bug that has an exoskeleton (such as bed bugs, ants or fleas) it gets caught between their little exoskeleton joints. As they move, the diatomaceous earth acts like razor blades and cuts them up. But it doesn’t hurt humans. We can eat it. The bed bugs, they die. Try the Organic Bedbug Killer Diatomaceous Earth DE – Gets Rid of Bed Bugs and Bed Bug Bites for Good. You can put this powder down and it will remain effective until vacuumed or washed away. This DE is milled at a consistency much like flour and is a fossilized shell (diatom). This bed bug killer is considered safe and organic for home and garden use and has been a staple in organic gardening for many years. Apply the powder in all cracks and crevices, closets, baseboards, under the fridge and stove, mattresses, and anywhere bedbugs hide for long lasting and effective control.

  1. What is the most effective way to be rid of bed bugs? I have no job right now and my mom lives on a fixed income, so we are pretty much limited to money spending.
This matter has me so depressed and restless. I have always had phobias about insects and rodents. I am not well over this matter lately. Help us PLEASE!!!!!

  2. Hi Mercedes, have you tried the tips mentioned on this website? DE is very effective and it’s inexpensive. See http://how-to-kill-bedbugs.com/diatomaceous-earth-bed-bugs/. How bad is your infestation? Have you found where they live?

  3. I live in Southern California. I’ve never had bed bugs in my house, but I’m like Mercedes and have a bit of a phobia. I’ve heard about the outbreak, but do you know if its moved into Southern California? I don’t know anybody who lives close by that has ever mentioned bed bugs. Thanks in advance 🙂
